Fresh to Glenvar this year, the GHS journalism department has added to its arsenal of articles, adding the weekly preview, GTV TikTok/Instagram page, as well as this brand-new website, our very own online Thistle! This expansion of material allows for a wider audience of our GHS news as well as anytime, anywhere accessibility for our students. Here are the basics of each new platform:
Instagram/TikTok pages- Vertical, short form content has been released on our Instagram and TikTok pages. Some of said short form content are informational, but most are fun and light-hearted entertainment videos.
Weekly preview- As simple as its name, this goes up on Instagram and TikTok every Sunday night. The weekly preview gives our students a reminder of important dates and sport events going on that following week.
Online Thistle: Our school newspaper, The Thistle, is going digital! Physical copies are still available and released at the end of every quarter, but for better accessibility, The Thistle articles as well as some GTV stories will be uploaded here on this website.
