Stressed Out: Tackling Anxiety as a High Schooler

Everyone experiences stress and anxiety; it is not a rare occurrence. Some of the common reasons that cause these experiences can be trying to perform well in classes, to successfully get into their dream college, as well as their parent’s expectations of them. Here are 3 ways to reduce stress and anxiety as a high school student. First stay organized, keeping your study area clean it helps you keep track of your assignments and deadlines. Number two, talk about it. If you are feeling stressed and anxious don’t be scared to reach out to family members or a trusted adult. Lastly, limit screen time. By reducing your screen time, it gives you more to study and not procrastinate. Please remember that the staff at Glenvar High School are here to help you succeed and if you are feeling stressed don’t be scared to reach out.
